(Midnight Mass), From the series The Readymade Drawing 3#;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Colour and graphite drawing, videoprojection fade in\/out, &#8220;Beamer&#8221; and tripod.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;The 3rd installment of the readymade drawing; a midnight promise\u2026, is a readymade drawing based on a still from the American gothic horror TV series Midnight Mass, directed by Mike Flanagan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The chosen and cropped still is from a character in the serie: Bev Kean is the assistant of a priest on a remote island, and despite the underlying threat of a vampire that looms over the community, it is the manipulative acts of Bev that creates the devide of the community. Disruptive, narcistic, ambitious and self-serving, dominant, controlling (&#8220;bordering on aggressive&#8221;) and dauntless\/dissenting\u2026 all traits of the current political and social manipulation through promoting populism, gaslighting, and the absent of selfreflection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Drawing from Edvard Munch&#8217;s iconic painting, &#8220;The Scream&#8221;, the work has been an influence for expressing the angst and frustration.
