Water and Fire (Full Circle) is a body of work that investigates the idea of identity. On one hand, it questioned the artist’s traditional art training, influenced by the discovery of a retrospective on the Fluxus movement, and Joseph Beuys’ statement that “everyone can be an artist.” On the other hand, the search of rhe “personal” is fueled by the embrace of diaspora art within the UK art scene, which further inspired the exploration of these themes.
